70th Independence Day Celebration The 70th Independence Day celebrations of our country was celebrated in our school with great pride and enthusiasm. Our school decked up in tricolour flags sported a festive atmosphere and the students wearing their crisp uniform were full of gaiety and eagerness to witness the function.

Our Chairman Shri F A Kudroli hoisted the National Flag and took the salute as Guest of Honour. There were speeches in Hindi, English and Kannada by Khushi, Rayan & Prajwal respectively in which they spoke about the valour and sacrifice of our great Indian leaders and without whom our freedom would not have been possible.

The audience were also told about various freedom fighters and their valuable contribution. The hoops display by the junior students had the audience spellbound with their difficult formations. Yoga – which has made an impact at the international level and our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has taken the first step to make 21st of June as the International Yoga Day. Infact it was befitting to display the yoga asanas by the senior students commemorating and remembering the benefits of performing yoga for one’s fitness and health. The girls epitomised the cultural heritage of our nation to the tune of Desh Rangeela while in another dance the students showcased the importance of tricolour to the tune of Moula mere lele Meri jaan. Songs in Hindi & Kannada added a spirit of patriotism and brought a touch of nostalgia to the audience. A short and sweet programme to remember.

This awareness is better created and will be more effective in the younger generation. This was brought to everyone’s notice through the Go Green, Hebbal campaign – A rally by school students in and around Hebbal organised by the Education Department in co-operation with the MLA of its area. Our school students participated in this rally in large numbers sporting green caps, Our students participated enthusiastically with placards carrying messages about environment awareness. They marched around Ganganagar with slogans to keep the city clean, grow more trees and encouraged passersby to do their bit for Mother Nature. It was a real treat to watch students showing so much commitment to the cause. The teachers accompanying the students were but silent spectators of the boundless energy, their unwavering enthusiasm and their total commitment.
