GOLD MEDAL IN SKATING AT CISCE GAMES

Anshuman Shyam Sirsikar of Std. X has won gold medal in 500 m rink race and Silver medal in 3000m race at the CISCE games held last month.

He has proudly qualified himself for the National Finals to be held on 30th September in Mumbai. His performance has made him , his parents and our school proud.

The school Management, Principal , Teachers and his friends wish him good luck for his upcoming tournament to bring laurels to our school. His dedication and hard work should make his coach Mr. Nagendra Kumar K.V feel proud of his student.

We are happy to announce that Saba Suhana a student of our school studying in Std. IX has won many prizes in swimming competition and her aim is to represent India in Olympics. We are happy to congratulate her for winning the following prizes at different levels.

In the Karnataka Interschool Swimming Competition she has secured ​ Certificates of Merit in the CISCE National Sports & Games 2022 at the ​ Regional level held at Karnataka from 09.08.2022 to 10.08.2022 organised by ​ CISCE National Sports and Games 2022.

  • She is now qualified at the National level in the swimming competition to ​ be held from 21/09/2022 to 23/09/2022 in Bangalore.

She is awarded a participation certificate for participating in Khelo India Junior ​ women’s Swimming series 2022 from Karnataka zone 3 held in 20-21 August ​ 2022 Round 1 organised by Swimming Federation of India.

Received a Certificate of Honour representing : Dolphin Aquatics and has won ​ second place in 4x200m Freestyle in“NRJ” state senior aquatic championships ​ 2022 – 23. Organized by Karnataka Swimming Association held at Padukone – ​ Dravid centre for sports excellence Bengaluru – on 12th to 14th August her ​ record being 9:16.83.

She is awarded Merit Certificate for achieving 3rd position in the event 200m​ Butterfly with time 2:32:29 in group under 15 years from Karnataka zone 3 held ​ in August 2022 organised by Swimming Federation of India.

We're proud to acknowledge Rohit Ravi Kumar of 8th std who was selected to represent Karnataka in the All India Table tennis tournament in the National Sports and Games organized by the CISCE. He was one of the five players who played against the other state teams and won the bronze medal. He was selected for his excellent, individual performance in the state level sports and games organised by the KISA. We're proud of his achievements and wish him all the best for his future.

Saba Suhana of Std. VI ‘B’ of Florence Public School is an upcoming swimming Champion. She has many awards to her credit.

Recently, the Karnataka Swimming Association conducted a state level sub junior and junior aquatic championship 2019, and Saba Suhana has taken part in many categories.

She has won the I prize in the 400m freestyle, II Prize in the 200m Medley, II Price in the 100m freestyle, II Prize in the 100m Butterfly, III Prize in the 200m Freestyle and III prize in the 4*50m medley.

Florence Public School is very proud of her achievements and we wish her more success in her future endeavours. She has also been selected for the National level for four events.

The Annual Sports was conducted in our school in October [ 22nd to 31st] many team events were held. In the inter house basketball game for boys. Yellow house played against Blue House and won the game. Vivek of Std. IX A1 , the captain of yellow house team was adjudged the Best Player and he received the trophy from Chairman Sir.


Wako India Cadet & Junior National Kickboxing Championship 2018

Nanditha Raj from X std participated in the Wako India Cadet & Junior National Kickboxing Championship 2018 organised by the HP Amateur Kickboxing Association under the aegis of World Association of Kickboxing Organisations, Italy.

She won gold medal in K-1 event in the 16-18 years cadet category at the international level and has done her parents and school proud.

Greenfield Zest 2017

An Inter school sports fest ‘Greenfield Zest 2017’ was hosted by the Greenfield Public School in their school premises – on 17th & 18th November. The various events included team games like cricket, football, basketball and individual events like swimming, tennis and skating.

Our students participated with great enthusiasm. The U-12 basketball team led by Vivek played as a team to win gold from among 14 schools. Vivek was also adjudged the best player of the tournament. The U -12 football team was led by Adrit and they played against 16 schools and won the silver medal. Adrit was also declared the best goal keeper of the tournament. The swimmers also put up a good show when Vishnu Vardhan notched up gold in both free style and breast stroke events.


Sintronica Sports Fest

Our school cricket team participated in Sintronica Sports Fest conducted by Sindhi College Bengaluru and won the trophy beating Cambridge School, Ryan International School & Jain Heritage School.

The cricket team led ably by Tarun C Reddy played to win and lifted the Sintronica Cup in style. They stayed focused and it was a joint effort by the entire team. Chakravarthy was adjudged the Best Bowler and Shashank was adjudged the Best All rounder of the Tournament.


BTR Cricket Tournament

We are glad to acknowledge our U-16 cricket team captained by Tarun Reddy participated in the II Division BTR Tournament and scored a resounding victory in the first of three matches which they are scheduled to play in the preliminary league.

They played against BGS international school. BGS School batted first and were bowled out for 150 runs. Kruthik of 10A3 took 6 wickets. Our team reached the target in 25 overs with 8 wickets to spare. Chaitanya scored 72 runs.


Star Achiever

We are glad to announce Parvi S Patil of X C participated in the District level lawn tennis tournament organised by the School Games Federation of India on 25th-26th July and qualified for state level. She won 4-2 in the finals against Vidya Spoorthi School. She played against twenty schools before qualifying to the last eight. We wish her all the best in all her future endeavours.

Inter School Indoor Cricket Tournament 2017

We are glad to announce that our school under 16 cricket team participated in XLR8 GEN X Inter School Indoor Cricket Tournament 2017 and were declared the Runners up . They won the silver medal and a certificate.

We are glad to acknowledge that Chandana M of X ICSE and Manasa M of IX ICSE participated in the Badminton Junior Girls doubles event organised by the Karnataka ICSE Schools Association ( KISA) on 29th July and have secured the second place. They were awarded with trophies and certificate. The event was held in the Gopalan International School.

We are glad to acknowledge Samuel N of IX std who represented India in the Little League Baseball Asia – Pacific and Middle East Regional Tournament at the International level. He was part of the team who won against China and South Korea and entered the last eight. We wish him best of luck in all his future endeavours.

BYCA Challengers T - 20 Cup Cricket

We are glad to announce that Florence Public School cricket team captained by Chaitanya S, participated in the BYCA Challengers T-20 Cup organized by the Bangalore Youth Cricket Academy and were Runners up of the tournament.

Our school team played 2 league matches before qualifying for the semi-finals. First league match we won against Efficient Cricket Club with a victory margin of 119 runs. Nihar N Murthy was the Man of the Match with his 97 not out.

Second league match we won against BYCA- B team chasing 126 runs in 17.5 overs. In the semi-finals we won against WPCA team. A thriller match in which we needed 4 runs off the last ball, we won with the last ball six. In the final match we played against BYCA- A team, we batted first scoring 131 in which Tarun scored 53 runs but the A team chased it successfully in 19.3 overs.

Each and every child undergoes fitness testing regularly and their record is being maintained by the sports department. Children who achieve laurels, win prizes at school, district, state, national as well as international level are not only encouraged but their records are also being maintained. Most of our students have availed seats in top most colleges of Bangalore and some of the students have cleared CET through Sports quota also.

  • Sreesanth S. our ex-student has honed his skill of cricket from our school. He was a member of Indian Cricket team who brought laurels to India in T20 challengers Trophy.
  • Our students have brought laurels in Cricket, Basketball, Tenniekoit, Badminton, Baseball, Shotput, Kabbadi, Band and March past ( SARS) at Taluk, District and State and National level.
  • Some of our ex – students have been selected to play for Ranji matches.
  • Yaser Ahmed of Std. X is now being selected in BFC (Bangalore Football Club) U/16 Football league match.

We are glad to acknowledge our students who have participated in the 4th Inter School Karate championship organized by the Indian Karate Academy and have brought laurels to our school and themselves.

P. Naveen Kumar IX 'A3' and Shubrata S.A. VIII 'A2' bagged the runner up trophy in the open championship besides gold and silver medals in kata and kumite categories. Anirudh C., Neharika and Sukhi J. of VIII Std. won gold and silver medals. We are happy to congratulate them for the same.

We are glad to acknowledge P. Naveen Kumar of VIII ‘A3’ had represented Karnataka in the 11th National SKIF Karate – Do Tournament 2015 in the 46 – 50 kumte category and won the first prize. The event was held at Nagerwil in Tamilnadu.

We are glad to acknowledge Parvi Shrikanth Patil of Std. VIII A participated in the AITA super series Tennis Tournament 2015 for U – 14 & U – 16 conducted by the Trivandrum Tennis club and won the Doubles event (U -14).
